Here is a list of inspirational blogs I found written by parents or teachers of children with an autism spectrum disorder. I think it is wonderful that people are connecting and sharing valuable ideas or resources; whether it is simply to understand autism better or to share how they cope with some of the challenges of raising or teaching a child with autism.

1. Flappiness Is: Leigh Merryday blogs about her 3-year-old son Callum who has autism. She says, "Suffice it to say, between being a teacher and having family experience with the spectrum, the Jaws theme played loud and clear in my head at the first little glimpses of flapping and stimming in my son."

2. Autism Daddy: I’m a 45 year old neurotypical dad with a 12 year old son with severe, non-verbal autism (NOW ALSO WITH EPILEPSY, AN ADDED BONUS!!). My wife is an Autism Mommy Rock Star! However, she didn’t like me RANTING about autism on Facebook to our friends & family. So I created this Page to rant about autism & epilepsy while celebrating my son who I affectionately call “the king” :-)

3. Autism Tank: Autism resources and support from a special education teacher and BCBA with first-hand experience.
