Great for: Communication skills development, storytelling skills

I've used Toontastic with D in order to help develop his communication skills. I did this by working on requesting. In other words, I asked which settings and characters he wanted in his story and asked him to explain what each character what doing. This app is also great for children with autism because it can be used to practice a conversation between characters. Since you can record dialogue for each scene, children can listen to what they have said and make improvement/adjustments on their own.

Great for: Fine motor, tracing and handwriting skills.

I've used this app with D and he LOVES it! The app teaches children how to trace upper and lowercase letters, numbers from 1 to 9 and shapes and words. I love that you can customize the app by hiding content you don’t think your child is yet ready for, adding words you want them to practice, adding your own pictures and recording your own voice on the app.
